Trainer Tabitha’s Thoughts on ProtectionPro

So many options

There are so many options on the market today regarding protection for your cellphone. At times it can seem overwhelming as a consumer or even as a retail store to know what to purchase or carry in stores. There is tempered glass, plastic films, liquid protection, and products that claim to have self-healing, but do they?

As someone who has managed several retail locations another thing that I always consider is inventory and display space for it.  There are so many factors at play, and I think I have found an amazing solution. If you have never heard of ProtectionPro you are missing out! For starters let me tell you a little bit about the company. Like many other great companies, their start was very small. It started with two men in a garage selling protection for race car windshields. Using films made from Madico they would cut them out and fit them to specific makes and models of these racecars to protect them from damage. So, they sent NASA samples of this new product they had yet to even release to the market and they loved it! It did exactly what they needed and passed every test they tried. So now this small company had gone from racecar windshield protection to being trusted by NASA to ensure their astronauts were safe.

Fast forward view

Fast forward a little bit and the company was growing larger and larger. At one point a single large order nearly bankrupted them and they knew they needed more capital. They began to search for investors and were not disappointed. They ended up having so many offers they got to choose who they worked with. And who better than Madico? They were already using their product so why not work with them as their investor for growth. Today ProtectionPro has become the leader in protection. They are now in over 160 countries, more than 15,000 retailers, and used by over 10 million people.

But why is it amazing?

So, what makes this product so great? Well, I am glad you asked! Not to name drop or anything but a few noteworthy users of this product, besides NASA, are Fast and Furious, Jay Leno (got to protect the car collection), Transformers, Samsung’s CEO (it’s their preferred protection), and even government agencies. Now I don’t just mean government agencies’ devices, no, I mean their buildings for blast protection! Not only am I telling you this to show how awesome the product is, but imagine the ease of selling this to your customer by using these examples?

Easy installation and sale!

While on the topic of ease, the installation of this product is amazing. First, the inventory is minimal. You don’t have to stock an individual product for each device. All that you do is go into the database and find whatever device you need, the machine cuts it out for you, and you install it in minutes. Once it’s cut out you spray a special gel on your device and fingers and then lay the film over the screen. Now, most of the time you get one chance to install the protection.

You ever install a tempered glass, and it sticks, so you can’t move it anymore, and now you must get another because it didn’t line up JUST, right? Not a problem with this product. Once you lay it on the screen you can then move it around freely to line it up perfectly every time. Then simply use a squeegee to smooth it out and adhere it and then you’re done. It really is that easy.

Inventory

Now when it comes to inventory, that’s up to you. You can carry whatever products you like. All you need is the machine, gel, squeegee, and whatever films you decide to carry. It takes up hardly any space and now you can carry more cases and accessories! They offer 5 different types of films:

Protection Pro VS Tempered Glass

You may be wondering what the difference is between this product and the ever-so-popular tempered glasses you currently use and sell. For starters, there is a simple statistic that cellphone users on average go through 4.8 tempered glasses in a year. With ProtectionPro they average 12 months with one film. To the point that they even offer extended warranties with a one-year repair guarantee on screen breakage. In addition to these statistics, there is a physical test that has been run on a piece of equipment called a Taber Crockmeter.

Basically, this machine simulates mere pocket use. It has a 4” wide stroke, 2lbs of pressure, and the weight and speed mirror a user. They used this machine to test Zagg against ProtectionPro and the numbers were drastically different. Zagg lasted 9,300 passes, which equals 155 minutes, meaning 3 months of use. When they put the ProtectionPro to the test they literarily had to stop the machine because it was lasting so long and driving the people nuts. When they turn the machine off it was over 300,000 passes, which is more than 5000 minutes, meaning 8+ years of use!

Self-healing properties

One of the ways this product can last so long is the self-healing properties. You can quite literally take a steal bristled brush to the screen protected by ProtectionPro and scratch the film up, only to fix it by using a little bit of heat from a hairdryer! The film will begin to re-adhere and fix itself on a molecular level. This nano coat technology will also dissipate impact as to not shatter it or the screen. I can take some hard blows with little to no damage because of this technology.

Finally, the last thing I will point out is the seamless wrap and adhesion with this product. No longer are you fighting with a Samsung curve or having gaps with tempered glass. The ProtectionPro will adhere and cover the entire surface, including the back glass! I cannot think of a better product for a retail store to carry or a consumer to use!
