This is not to promote 1 franchise or to bash franchises, as it is not to only promote going independent this is just my (Nicole Russell) opinion of the benefits and downfalls of both. Be sure to do your own research before doing either. Although we specialize in training independent owners we have many franchise owners pass through our course.
Pros of a Cell Phone Repair Franchise:
- Brand recognition
- Easy to follow set up
- Procedures in place
- Partnerships with companies like Samsung and Apple
- Access to a community of other shops who want you all to succeed
Cons of owning a cell phone repair franchise:
- Not having complete control of your own business
- Price to enter, requirements to buy a franchise
- Depending on the franchise you do not have the ability to do sales for activations and other services that are lucrative
- Someone always taking part of your profit
Pros of opening an independent cell phone repair shop:
- Can choose to offer any services you would like
- Keep all your profit
- Low investment to start
- join communities of independent shops who want independent to succeed
Cons of opening an independent cell phone repair shop:
- You have to create your own process, you can start with what we give you but you will go through a trial and error stage
- Staffing so you can walk away and grow
- Partnerships with Samsung and Apple are able to be received but take longer
